My Golden Hair Summer – What To Do in Las Vegas & Henderson

Warm sunny rays have entered my window and mark a new chapter: My Golden Hair Summer. Our life stories come in waves. We ebb and flow between eras of rest and peace and eras of growth and creativity. This summer is a season of life, and I couldn’t think of a better way to describe it than with the color golden yellow. Let’s discover the psychology of yellow, the new life bubbling in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, and why it’s time for you to wake up and feel the light of day with me!

Why Yellow?

The concept of sunshine resonates with me. It is apropos that yellow is a primary color: a goddess if you will among pigment. “Yellow… inspires hope, enthusiasm… Its creativeness focuses on mental aspects, it inspires new ways of thinking and acting” (ColorPsychology.org). I pick yellow because it symbolizes taking all the potential energy collected during a time of peace and healing, and letting it erupt into life.

Exploration, self-actualization, and new culture bubble on the surface of our beautiful city. Creatives chomp at the bit to renew their wells. If you are looking for a place in Las Vegas to inspire your creative focus, Area 15, Arcadia Earth, Container Park, and First Friday have opened the doors for the local creative mind.

#VegasDestinations

Area 15 is the house of Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart. For anyone inspired by exuberance and beautiful storytelling, get your tickets to Omega Mart. Arcadia Earth is another immersive art experience: an inspiring utopian representation of earth & art. For all my locals with an itch to participate with local businesses, Container Park is a MUST! They hold events and bring in local musicians and vendors to decorate the paths next to small businesses. Inside you will also find street art gems created by Recycled Propaganda, Pretty Done, and more. In the Arts District, every local artist must attend First Friday. See featured artists, explore the unlimited corners of creativity, and surround yourself with passionate artists and community.

#HendersonHotspots

In Henderson, local events and Farmers Market make networking and buying locally accessible. One recent event was the Art Festival on Water Street. The stalls enveloped the entire street with the wares of talented creators. From t-shirts, vintage clothes, and ceramic bobbles, they had it all. Striking conversations with the vendors had attendees smiling and embracing the artists. The Farmers Market in Henderson, NV, brings in coffee artisans, candle makers, quality sourced fruits and vegetables, etc. Vegan food trucks and more offer a delicious lunch to local workers on break. They hold their market on multiple days and at multiple locations to serve the whole Henderson community.

If anything, I encourage local creators to get involved with these events. Whether attending or setting up your stall, these events produce so much energy from the crowds and an addictive buzz of culture and life. Don’t miss out on a spectacular summer of life.

For me, I have some of my own exciting upcoming mysteries to announce. I am oozing with bright and happy energy to #SiezeTheDay. Tell me, what are you putting together this summer?
