Things to do in Boulder City for Millennials

Looking for things to do in Boulder City? Whether you're a local or just visiting, there are plenty of events and activities that cater to millennials. In this blog, I share some of the best places to hang out, year-round events, and other tips for enjoying the retro charm of this scenic town in Nevada.

Hangout in Boulder City

Walking the halls of the Boulder Dam Hotel

Good morning!

If you're visiting Boulder City, start your day at the Boulder Dam Hotel, a historic gem that will transport you back in time. With its recently renovated restaurant and Boulder Dam era inspired interior, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast and soak up the town's vintage vibe.

Coffee lovers should head to the Boulder Dam Roast House, a local favorite with a more modern feel. With plenty of space to read or work, this coffee shop also offers "dam inspired" drinks and snacks.

Lunchtime:

For a delicious Mediterranean and Spanish inspired meal, head to Casa Don Quixote. Although the restaurant is still soft-launching as of May, it's open occasionally for lunch and dinner by reservation. The passion of the owners and the mouthwatering cuisine will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Watch an Instagram reel with more food shots and video footage of Casa Don Quixote here.

Evening affairs:

One of the most popular spots for millennials is Beer Zombies, a local brewery with a lively atmosphere. They regularly host vendor events when the weather is nice and offer a robust selection of craft beers and specialty drinks. Don't miss their smash burgers and the Gin and Juice cocktail.

Events in Boulder City

Arts, crafts, and a swear closet!

If you're a crafty millennial, Cards o'Glee is a must-visit. The owner hosts workshops ranging in creativity, from wax seal classes to earrings and bowl making. If you're feeling extra spicy, you can even check out the swear closet: a unique addition to the small town vibes of Boulder City.

Markets and Vendors!

If you're in town in May, you'll also want to hit up the Spring Jamboree, a massive fest of creators and crafters. You'll find everything from jewelry and art to vintage items and candles, making it a great way to support local artists and soak up the town's creative energy.

Evening soirees:

Another spot worth checking out is Dillingers, a mobster-themed restaurant and bar. In May, they have a block party for locals and visitors! This event features live music, a beer garden, food trucks, and even a hot dog eating contest.

Wine lover, be sure to check out the Best Dam Wine Walks, which run from September to April. You will take a leisurely stroll through local shops while sipping on your favorite vino. I will add a link here when the 2023-2024 event dates launch.
