#ArtistSpotlight: Pretty Done

From the PrettyDone.com Website.

Las Vegas artist Pretty Done has stolen the hearts of the city. His work spreads across walls and buildings everywhere. I admire artist Adam Rellah's extreme and conscious dedication to his works; they bring so much life and joy to our community.

Rellah took to art during the pandemic. A DJ for 14 years, he filled the space left behind from the closures with his iconic art style. The transition took perseverance, but the results? In a word: outstanding.

The Dedication

The sheer amount of production Rellah generates each week blows my mind. When interviewed, Rellah explained, "I am trying to show people consistency in the work ethic and the dedication that it takes to grow something from nothing." The Pretty Done brand has made a tremendous impact on the art market in Las Vegas and brought a renewed love of art for many.

The individualism paired with Rellah's unrelenting will to create moves me. His dedication is inspiring. As he pointed out, the result takes a lot of work. Over the last 15 years, Las Vegas has seen a surge of muralists and art. From First Friday to vendor opportunities, the art market is rising. However, we frequently do not notice the work or experience it took to get there. Constantly that work is underappreciated and unnoticed. Rellah's approach to Pretty Done provides viewers with a bigger picture of the life of a creator.

Inside his hard work is Rellah's wish: to make us feel good, to create constant love. It is exhilarating to see positivity in the art scene. He strives to share the love of art and foster that love in Las Vegas. I wish more artists would have so much transparency in their day-to-day lives and purpose.

Growing Art Scene

Art matters because it makes us feel. I love what Pretty Done gives to our community. His work moves me to develop and share what I am passionate about and create and produce my piece of art and joy for this community. After all, it is a growing community that we all wish to experience.
